Lightinthebox?

Sorry if this has been asked before-i read back a ways and didn't see anything.

Does anyone have any experience (or know of someone else) with lightinthebox.com.  I found a cheap veil i'm interested in and i was going to make mine anyways, but am having trouble finding the right color tulle.  i'd only be out $20 if it doesn't work, but just thought i'd ask.

TIA!

  • I've seen mixed reviews but if it's $20 then you should go for it.

I purchased a veil ( this one: http://www.lightinthebox.com/two-tier-elbow-wedding-veil-with-ribbon-edge_p204990.html) from lightinthebox and I was very satisfied. I don't have a lot of money to work with. The tulle on the veil was well, tulle, not silk, but it wasn't too stiff.  I've left it hanging at my mom's house to get the wrinkles out and it looks nice and smooth.  It's not made of a soft fabric, but it falls nicely and doesn't have a life of it's own like stiff tulle does. It looks like it would be soft when you're wearing it.

As you can see the comb is attached the to veil, it's plastic, and on mine it had no additional decoration on the comb, so I'll have a barette with small flowers in front of it.
  • What color tulle are you looking for?  I was able to make my veil for like three bucks and it was super simple.

  • My veil is not too expensive, cost $61, http://www.inweddingdress.com/style-ve02.html   it's true to the picture, and looks not cheap.
  • thank you all so much for your feedback!  I have some tulle I bought from Joanne's but it's too bright and the ivory is too dark.  I think I'm going to try to tea dye the white.  Also looking at the sites you've shared.  Thanks again!
