How long can you wait to start looking for a wedding dress?

Depending on the designer, some dresses can take between 4-9 months or more to come in.  Some stores (like David's Bridal) have a faster turnaround time (typically a few weeks).  So, depending on when your wedding is, keep that in mind when you decide to start looking!

I would wait at the latest 8 months before your wedding. After that you may have to buy off the rack.  I know my dress said it could take 6 to 8 months to come in. But maybe call around and ask shops how long their ordering time is. That might help!
