What do the $ signs mean?

I have been looking at dresses for my October weddding and I think that I found the perfect one that I love here on the Knots' website.  I was looking at price and all I found was $$. What does this mean? Is there a key that Im missing? Can anyone help?

$ Very Affordable ($600 or less)
$$ Affordable ($601-$1500)
$$$ Moderately Expensive ($1501-$3000)
$$$$ Expensive ($3001-$5000)
$$$$$ Very Expensive ($5001 and up)

At least, that's what the key said before they took the key down. :-/
