Just a month to go and super stuck on jewelry.

I'm a long time lurker but this is my first post.  I had my final dress fitting today for a full custom dress that I'm totally in love with - but the closer the date gets, the less I'm into the necklace and earrings I have.  I'm starting to feel like I don't even know what *kind* of thing I might want.

This is what the dress looked like today with me in it and all my bits on.  The hem and lacing area in the back aren't done and the skirt is being regathered - so it's still not totally complete.  Also she's putting cups in to sit my boobs up on, ha.

Anyway - pic.

Any thoughts?

What exactly don't you like about your jewelry? Personally, I would keep the necklace and maybe find earrings that are a little bigger with more bling, but that might not be your style.

  • I can't decide if the necklace is too small?  Also the earrings are Betsey Johnson and plastic...and I love them but everything else I'm wearing is real.  I know when it comes down to it, it's kind of a minor detail but I'm feeling a little stressed about it.
  • I think the necklace looks a little small.    But, I don't think it looks bad.   I have to say, I LOVE your dress.  It's so cute !!

If I were you, I would go bigger - bigger earrings and bigger necklace.  I like your dress and feel like it calls for bigger, bolder jewelry...just my opinion.  How are you wearing your hair?

Combo Breaker First Comment 5 Love Its

First of all, you've hit a home run with the dress and shoes!  What a great combo.  They look great and they look fabulous on you!

Next, the necklace in the photo might be too delicate, too small.  Something  a little bigger/chunkier, perhaps closer to the neck (more of a choker) might be your answer.  Take that photo with you over to the Back Bay and I'll bet you'll find something in one of those places.  Or ... how about going to a vintage clothing place?

Once you find the choker, the earrings should fall into place (no pun intended).

  • I agree with PP, I would def. look into a chucky sorta necklace and add a bracelet!
