I manged to get the dress taht I had been stalking sent to my local bridal botique. Great, right? And then comes the dress fitting. We got the dress large because my large measurement is my bust, not my hips or waist. I have the shoulders of a line backer and rib cage to match. So we try on the dress and she pins. I come back to try on the dress, she only hemmed the bottom. ok. Pulls out clips and we agree that the waist is the only thing that really needs to be done, NOT the bust, just the waist. I thought this was clear and so was her clips. Nope, she took in the bust, a lot. And then they had the nerve to tell me I gained weight. Twice since then. A. I've lost 4 lbs. B. There is nothing to lose where the dress is too tight. C you can see my ribcage, I should gain weight. D. don't take in the bust, means don't take in the bust!
Frustration aside, I'm afraid that they will ruin the dress beyond repair. I'll be trying it on again tomorrow and am afraid to. I want to take the dress elsewhere to ger it corrected, becasue after 6 tries, enough is enough. I have no problem paying for the hem that was done, but I don't feel like I should pay for any other alterations since they haven't been done correctly.
Am I crazy to think this?
