Before I even got engaged, I never had any intentions of wearing a veil on my wedding day. I think they look gorgeous on most brides, but a veil just isn't me. I was asked to try on a veil when I found my dress. So I tried one on to please my mom. I thought I looked absolutely ridiculous, took it off, and that was that.
When I went back to the bridal salon to have my measurements taken and place the order, I tried my dress on again. Once again, I was asked to try on a veil. Once again, I looked ridiculous.
I've been told that I won't look like a bride without a veil and that I have to wear one. I already bought a beautiful headband with rhinestones and pearls and I had intended on wearing that alone.
What are your thoughts on veils?
