Duchess Silk Satin

I am trying to decide on a Watters dress that is made from Duchess Silk Satin.  Two questions:

1) is this fabric appropriate for a mid-May wedding in Minnesota (weather is unknown, hoping for mid-70s during the day, cooler evening)? 

2) Heat factor?   The wedding will be outside...

this fabric would be fine in your wedding setting as far as appropriate, however it's a hevier fabric so it maybe warm
