Wedding Colors

Hey everyone,

I really want the color purple (like an eggplant color) to be my main wedding color. Any thoughts on other colors to pair it up with. I thought about having the girls carry bright yellow flowers (I am getting married next July). Any thoughts or suggestions?

My BM wore a bright purple (pics in married bio) and our other colors were teal/aqua and silver. I would think a green or teal would go nicely with the purple, but I am definitely not a flower expert, so maybe someone else can help with that. Also, what about talking to the florist esp if you are set on having yellow flowers? A good florist can have some great ideas as well.

yellow sounds like good accent, also pale gold, lavender or lilac so it's more tonal, blues are nice even a hot pink

You could do a bright green and they could carry green hydrangeas, they come in an excellent shade of bright green (think granny smith apple instead of lime) and that shade of green goes awesome with deep purple.  That would also give it a bit of a kick of summer. That is what I am doing, I started out planning a December wedding and was using black, cobalt blue and silver. When I changed my date to June I substitued the silver for a granny smith green to give it a kick of a light summery feel.

If you really like purple you could even do a lavander, mixing light and dark shades has been really popular lately.

I did all shades of purple, lavendar,eggplant, aubergiene. I got tired of trying to match my purples so I did them all.
