XP: not crazy about bustle (PIP)

Also on Sept 2011 board:  My dress is a lot fuller with a longer train than I remembered when trying it on.  Now that it is altered and I have pics of the bustle...I just don't know.  It looks a little like Cinderella with the big BUTT dress.  I just feel like the dress looks old fashioned when bustled.  I'd like some other opinions, so let me know what you think or if you have any ideas.  I called the alteration lady and she said the french bustle wouldn't really work on this dress and she had to hook the train up on the waistline bc it's so heavy.  It seems like the most practical, if not the most aesthetic, way to accomplish getting the train out of my way for the reception.
