BM dress??

I am having a semi-formal, evening wedding.  I have it in my mind that my BM's dresses should be floor length.  But I'm not really finding many floor length dresses that I like (really, its the tops I don't like- too much skin showing, and I don't think the ones I like would look right with a shrug or shawl).  Is it ok to have shorter dresses for a semi-formal evening wedding?

It's just fine. My own bridesmaids wore short dresses.

Perfectly ok. My wedding was formal and my BM's wore short dresses. They are much cooler anyway, esp if it is an outdoor summer wedding.

If you truly want floor length dresses you should wait until the fall/winter season comes along.  The dresses will reflect the season.  But I think that short dresses will be fine too.  My BMs will be wearing tea length dresses in September.

Totally fine. We're having a summer outdoor wedding, so short dresses are sort of a must.

Go for the short dresses. I think most girls prefer to wear shorter ones, anyway. Makes it easier to walk and dance
