Where did you buy your veil?

...your bridal shop? Online? What are some good companies? Has anyone used Veils of Art?

Re: Where did you buy your veil?

  • I saw in another thread that a few people have used ValuVeil... how do you feel the quality is for the price? Is it something that you think will still be good in 20 years, say to pass down to a daughter or someone?

  • I tried on the veils at my bridal salon and purchase mine there, it was $200.  They forgot to ring it in.  So its free!

  • The veil at my bridal shop was gorgeous but too expensive. I got a very simple beautiful veil from etsy.com. I LOVE it. Cannot wait to wear it.
  • I got a beautiful rolled edge ivory veil at Michaels for 15 bucks

I'm one of those that boggled at the prices at the dress salon, then fled to the internet for a 15.99 veil.  It's gorgeous, and just the same as what you'd get in the salon (I mean, tulle with edging isn't really that complicated).

Modern tulle is much more durable due to man-made materials, so it should preserve just fine.  Be braced for the fact that your daughter might not want to wear your veil.  My future MIL offered hers to me, but it was outdated, required cleaning, and was designed to hide the face.  I appreciated the offer, but no way jose.  I'm not being exchanged for cattle, it's ok if my fiance sees me ahead of time.  He won't run away, promise :P.
