Wedge or pumps

I need advice from a bride who walked down the isle on grass. The ceremony is on regular garden grass and the reception is partly on grass with a dance floor.

I want my shoes to be fairly dramatic and bright yellow to match my colors but wedges are a little too casual or too expensive. However, wedge or platform would be more comfortable. The last thing I want is to trip or be in pain during the ceremony.

Any advice, suggestions or things to think about?

Re: Wedge or pumps

  • I wore wedges.  For the rehearsal I wore heels that didn't have a tiny base and kept sinking into the ground.
  • I think you also need to determine what type of shoe (wedge/platform) works best with you.  For the life of me I CANNOT wear wedges or platforms -- somehow I always manage to twist my ankle.  Are flats an option?  They seem to be the safest option in terms of walking in them.  My sister jazzed up a pair of ballet shoes for her wedding, and they looked super cute.
