Flower Girl Dresses

I have two flower girls, one seven and one three years old.  I'm not interested in using David's Briday (bad experience) but am planning a wedding in Ohio while living in NJ with the flower girls in Ohio.  I'm trying to make this cost effective and don't want to bankrupt the mothers of these girls. Any recommendations for where to look?

Re: Flower Girl Dresses

  • There will be plenty of Easter and First Communion dresses out in department stores now, so I would definitely check there.

My FG was 5 at our wedding, and we bought her dress on clearance at www.flowergirlprincess.com.  Her mom (my aunt) and I weren't sure what it would be like, but she figured for $20 it could be a play dress-up dress for her if we hated it.  But it was delivered within a week, and it was perfect.

I just bought my daughter's FG dress from here for $45. I couldn't justify spending $100 on a dress she's only going to wear once. Best part is they have a great return policy. You could also try Ebay, JC Penney's, Kohl's or Macy's.

  • J.Crew has some cute dresses under $100. You can even check Old Navy at some of the more "urban" stores - I feel like they always have party dresses that aren't on the web site. Also, check Marshall's and TJ Maxx - you can probably get a designer dress for a lot less.
  • www.nancyaugust.com is where my flower girl's dress came from. At one time they were having a sale and the dress was $40 something originally $70 something.
  • I would look in department stores right after Easter.. there will be a lot on sale then!

  • Wow thanks for all the great tips!  I saw some of the online sites but was nervous if there wasn't an actual store but I really appreciate the feedback and I had looked at the Kohl's Cinderella line as well.  Thanks again!
