Morning wedding - black dressed bridesmaids?

I'm getting married at 11am on 1 June next year so it's a summer wedding AND in the morning too...

I'm very excited for my wedding and was thinking that black knee-length dresses on my bridesmaids with colorful bouquets and shoes would be a nice, classy gown.  However, a lot of people have mentioned that they thought black was not a very good color for a bridesmaid to wear during a morning wedding.

Is there some rule about bridesmaids wearing black for morning weddings that I've missed?  Is it okay if I have my bridesmaids in black for a morning, summer wedding?

There isn't any rule when it comes to what colors BMs should wear at what time of day.  A nice, simple black dress is appropriate at any time of day and during any season.  I think what you are planning sounds really pretty, especially the bright colored flowers and shoes.

I saw a day wedding in which the bridesmaids wore black cocktail dresses with bright kelly green jewelry/shoes of their choosing. It looked AMAZING!

We are getting married at 1pm and my girls are wearing black with light colored flowers.  Black is simple, classy and looks good on everyone.  Go for it!
