2 dresses...WDYT?

We are having a very small wedding (40-60 guests depending , and mostly family and close friends thats it), followed by a reception at a local restaurant.

Afterwards, we are heading to Toledo with the friends in the group to the local casino.

My dress is a dropped waist ball gown for the most part (fitted on top, major ruffles on bottom)...

I'm thinking I really don't want to wear it to the casino LOL

Should I wear it? or get a second dress (short or less formal) to wear there?

  • I would wear something else to the casino.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I don't think you'll be happy wearing your wedding dress to the casino.
  • Personally I would rock my wedding gown, regardless if it is in a casino or not!

  • I'm currently upset I can't wear my dress for the next few months straight, so I would wear it.  Keep in mind that once that dress comes off, it won't go back on.

  • I would change before going to the casino. Maybe a short white dress?

I'd definitely keep your wedding dress on as long as possible, though. That way you get the most time you can in your dress.

  • I'm having a similar dilemma.. I was considering getting a second dress for the dancing/party part of my reception but a friend of mine married a few years ago told me I won't want to take my bridal gown off. I'm starting to agree, you spend tons of money on the dress, you want it to be worth it. You're getting married, be a show stopper at the casino! lol

</div><div>This is really great advice....I love my dress, and I can see your point as far as wearing it as much as possible.</div><div>
</div><div>I've bought another dress today. I wont have it until next week, I got it for a steal, it has all the elements the other dress I have did not have and I'll be honest now I'm torn LOL</div><div>
</div><div>My bridesmaid that went with me thinks I should just wear the second dress I bought today for the entire time and sell my other dress.</div><div>
</div><div>I'll post pics of it when I get it next week and let you all decide :)</div>
