my dream dress looks horrendous on me- kinda long

I am really hoping to get some genuine advice here.  I went for my first fitting 2 weeks ago and I think I was so caught up in the experience, I didn't realize how poorly the dress looked on me, until I saw the pics we took. It was too tight in the middle and big up top and all around made me look like a sausage stuffed into it- and I am nowhere near overweight nor did I gain any weight (my weight doesn't fluctuaute much at all).

The sample I tried on almost a year ago fit much differently and although I ordered the same size, it feels like the whole thing was cut differently.  Yes, I know dresses can be let out, taken in etc. but the overall style just wasn't flattering like the sample was (this is a fit n flare/mermaid dress mind you).

I called the salon and left 3 messages and they never got back to me; so my mom got mad (naturally!) and got through today and we have an appointment tom. at 6pm. Ok so here is the bottom line: I feel like I made a huge mistake getting this dress and that I should have picked out an a line style or something more gownish that would hide certain areas instead of accentuate.  I'm really hung up on this. The dress is beautiful, no issues there, but it doesn't look beautiful on me.  My mom, in the kindness of her heart, said if you really hate it I can probably buy you a new one. Honestly, she would never have been in a position to have done this a few years ago but she can now.

Ugh. So if I hate it still, do I let her get me a new one? Would I be taking advantage of her generosity? I love my mom so much and I'd feel guilty.  Parents are paying for reception, gave me $ toward my first dress, flowers, threw my shower.  And  I am so grateful but very torn. I could always pay her back, no issue there.

Oh and the final kicker- my wedding is in 3 months, is that enough time to even get a new dress?

Thanks ladies.
