Litterally and figuratively..
Ok, bought my dress awhile back, strapless sweetheart neckline fitted down to top of my hips. I'm having support issues, I bought a really good strapless bra and I feel supported in it, BUT it makes the top of my boobs look funny in the dress. The lady in alterations helped me discover that the underwire of the bra is forcing everything off the side and up to the front (which is what underwires do, I know) but it makes the top of my chest like bow out in a weird way, like it's trying to go back where it came from! So then we tried it sans bra, the boobs look better, but then the dress need to be tighter to give support and keep it from over exposing me, which makes my back look alittle puffy at the top and i'm afraid of having that look of being a sausage in a casing and bursting out the top. i want to look classy, not trashy, or like my dress is ill fitting. My waist etc fit in a 14, but i had to get a 16 to fit the ladies. my strapless bra is a 34 G. I'm getting married in 3 1/2 months, so i'm kind of panicking right now, bc alterations take 4 weeks! so i really need to make a decision about what to do.... my mother stitched in some extra boning which seems to help alittle.. but maybe i should just go with the bra, it's more comfy (ie dress is less tight), and just deal with the somewhat weird boob shape which isn't terrible.
I'm basically having a freak out, and need someone to tell me it's going to be ok. I can never buy dresses/tops that fit right without lots of alterations. I just feel really stressed and depressed that my beautiful dress doesn't look beautiful on me!! well at least not my boobs....
