Bridemaids and Groomsmen

I am torn on what colors to do for the girls and guys. I really love brown. I am having a fall wedding so i think this fits. Is it ok for the Bridesmaids to wear a brown dress and the groomsmen to wear a black tux with a brown vest?

I think the brown dresses with black and brown tuxes looks really nice, and I definitely like it better than when people do brown tuxes to try to avoid the "black and brown" thing.

I was a bridesmaid wearing brown in a spring wedding a couple of years ago. We all looked really good.

I'm getting married in the fall and my colours are brown, green, and gold. Red and purple can also be fall colours (I'm Canadian, I've seen maple trees do some pretty wacky things in the fall).
