Bridesmaid Dresses... Help!

I have 5 brides maids and they are all built really differently. I want to find dresses that they are each comforable in so I have decided that I want the dresses to be the same fabric and color but different cuts from the same lines.

I really like the ann taylor dresses but they cost more then I want to ask my bridesmaids to pay.... Any ideas???

Re: Bridesmaid Dresses... Help!

  • Have you asked your bridal party how much they are comfortable spending on a dress?
    You should start there.

  • What's your budget? If u want good quality but quite cheap wedding dress,cheap-bridal can help you.
  • Bridal salons told me to have the girls dresses ordered by 5 months before the wedding. So you could pick the dresses out a bit before. My girls have reallly small budgets, and we're going to get their dresses this weekend, because we found the right ones and wanted to make sure we get them, because they aren't from an actual bridal salon. Everyone's time line is a little different. I hope this helps.

  • I had the same issue with mine. I really love the J.Crew styles and fell in love with their spiced wine color, which is hard to find anywhere else. I really didn't want to ask my girls to spend that much, but it turns out they were totally fine with it. I offered to help them hunt for sales and also suggested they could buy their dresses on eBay, which surprisingly had a good selection. They also agreed that they'd be way more likely to wear the J.Crew dresses again than a chaper less nice dress. Just talk to them!

  • Yes with J Crew! I'm in a wedding next year and we are wearing J Crew, and I found my dress on Ebay. (And yes, I plan to sell it back on Ebay).
