In need of some advice I bought my dress from a local bridal store where I live the problem is I go to school in the East coast and live in the west coast and am getting married in the midwest. The dress was a sample gown so alterations are a must as it is a size too big but I will not be able to get my alterations done till december when i go home for Christmas break but the shop wants to get my alterations completely done in those 4 weeks and then have my gown ready to take with me because that will be the last time i am on the west coast until after we are married. I dont want the stress of having to stay the same weight in Dec all the wat till May any suggestions. I thought about just taking my gown with me and have some up East alter it but am worried about anyone else touching the dress as far as making it smaller there is A LOT altering to be done and the price for the alterations at the local shop are reasonable for the work it is going to take
