To Veil or not to Veil?

Sweetheart Strapless Dress. Probably wearing my hair in a bun. Do I need a veil, or can I just do a comb or flower?

I think either a flower or comb or headpiece would look great, as would a veil. It's really a personal preference, I think all wedding gowns can be done with a bunch of different accessories.

Have you tried it on with or without a veil to see what you feel better in? I did not want a veil at all, and bought the dress without it, then I went back and tried it on with one and really liked the effect.

If you have a picture of the dress we might be able to help you a bit more as to what would work best.

Does FI have a preference? Like Milk Duds said, sometimes they really want to see you in one, and there are plenty of options for taking it off for the ceremony- I did with my first wedding

I don't think my FI cares at all. He is really hands off about the wedding, except when it comes to budget, of course! Thanks for your input..i feel better about my not wanting a veil now

I had a slightly contoured strapless with a bun and wore a flower (PIB).  It worked out well.   The most I would have done was a fingertip or elbow length veil along with the flower, because DH wanted me to wear a veil at first.
