Bridesmaid dresses - what should I do?

Here's my dilema...

I have a maid and matron of honor and 3 bridesmaids.

Should I...

Have my maid and matron of honor in 1 color (marine from David's Bridal) and my 3 bridesmaids in a different color (watermelon from David's Bridal) or should I have them all in the same color?  My maid and matron of honor are also in different dresses which are slightly more dressy.  They have beading and the other 3 do not.  Here are links to the dresses to help.

I personally would have the 3 bridesmaids in a different color. I don't think they should all be the same because then the 5 will look like bridesmaids and guests won't be able to know who is maid of honor, etc. Also, some matron/maid of honors get upset about that, they want to be 'recognized'

If I were at a wedding and the 5 bridesmaids were dressed in two colors, it wouldn't occur to me that the two in blue were the MOHs.  I'd just think you just wanted to mix & match your colors.  

I think it will look great either way.  I also don't think it's a huge deal to dress your MOHs differently than the BMs.  Some brides do it, some don't.  If you're really on the fence about it, why don't you ask your girls what they would prefer.

I would leave them all in the same color, since the different dress style already sets them apart. I'd do blue and then work the pink in to your florals.

I agree with PP.

You could also make your MOH's bouquets/whatever they're holding slightly larger to help them standout as MOHs
