Custom Dress maker suggestions

HI Everyone! I need some advice. I am interested in two different gowns - Marisa 734 and Ines Di Santo "Rita"  I cannot afford the originals so i am looking for a custom dress maker in the US to make one of these two dresses once I actually decide which one I want to go with.  I've heard about the dress makers in China and would be scared to have it made there unless quite a few people suggest one person.
I'm located in Rochester NY and have looked in this area for a dress marker but haven’t had much luck so I’ve tried searching around for a reliable dress maker to replicate one of these dresses.
If you've had your dress made, please let me know how the dress came out, who you had make it, if they were reasonably priced, etc!

I am actually looking at having my dress made by a woman on etsy.com. She does designer replicas. I am a little nervous about having someone make my dress that i do not know, but i also feel in love with a designer dress and cannot afford the price tag. so, i am contemplating it. The one i have looked at is bridal bliss designs. She seems to have a lot of dresses reserved already, so maybe she does a really good job. It may be worth checking out
