How do you store accessories safely before the wedding?

My wedding is about 1 yr and 1/2 away but I found the belt I love at a great price and jumped on it. I am just concered about how to store it so that the beading will not look old ( some things get that tarnished look) or anything like that. Any suggestions? Any thing that I definately should not do that isnt fairly obvious, like putting it in direct sun light, would be greatly appriciated Thanks!!

If you are super concerned that it may get that "tarnished" appearance, you can lay the belt out flat and then wrap it tightly in cling wrap.  This will help to keep the air out.  Then wrap it up and place it in a ziploc baggy.  Put it somewhere where you won't forget about it and there you go.

But really, I think just keeping it in a ziploc bag or in the packaging it came in would be fine.
