Despite the fact that the wedding is 16 months away, my mom (who is graciously funding the entire wedding) and I, along with my future mother-in-law and future sister-in-law (who is also a bridesmaid) decided to go dress shopping since David's Bridal has a decent sale going on right now. I don't plan to lose much (if any) weight before the wedding and I don't really gain weight easily, either, so I'm not really worried about it not fitting come time for the big day. That being said, we went more to just get a feel for what I like and what looks good on me. We were prepared to purchase today, but not necessarily looking to do so.
My consultant was WONDERFUL. No pressure to buy. And when she pulled out a dress that was over my budget, she immediately understood when I said "it's beautiful but..." and made a conscious effort to keep my price in mind.
We pulled the dresses that I had in my favorites from viewing the website and a few additional that caught our eye. The first one she put me in was one that we picked on a whim that had caught my eye and happened to be one of only 3 designs they had in stock in my exact size... 8 dresses later, that first "on a whim" dress brought me to tears when I put it back on.
So it's all mine!!

I don't see it on the website, and until now, I didn't think to get the style number off of the dress (though I'm sure it's on the receipt somewhere?)... being that the wedding is so far off, I opted to order a new dress rather than to take the floor sample.
I know this is a post repeated many-times over on this board... but now I can see why. I'm just so excited! Thanks for letting me share!
