Veil Alteration Cost?

Hello! My future mother-in-law has given me her veil to wear in my upcoming wedding. It's a beautiful three-layered/teired veil, but it all sits on a very 70's style headpiece that I would like to remove. I am also thinking of taking out one of the layers, or possibly just removing and using one - the cathedral length portion. I've made an appointment for alterations already, but I'm wondering...does anyone have any prior experience with getting their veil altered and does anyone have any clue how much this will cost (ballpark)?

Thanks!

Re: Veil Alteration Cost?

  • I did this to my veil (my mom's), and my seamstress charged me $5 to take it off the headpiece and put it on a comb.
Check out what I have left for sale...
