Grooms and ring bearer??

My wedding will be outdoors either in May or October in the evening.  Well more so right when the sun is setting.  Okay I need advice.  I really thought that it would so cute to have my ring bearer and flower girl barefooted, with the ring bearer wearing nice little khakis and a white button up shirt.  But would that look right with the groomsmen wearing black tuxs? I don't really think that I want my groom in a tanish color tux.  But I am not sure if it would look right with what I am wanting???? Advice please

  • I think having them barefoot seems a little bit casual if you're having the groom and GM in tuxedos. I think having the RB in khakis and a white button down would be fine if you put him in little loafers or something of that nature.

Also, if you went a bit more rustic with the whole feel of the wedding, and had the groom and GM in suits (black or khaki), having the FG and RB barefoot might work, if you really want to go that route. If you do that, though, I would make sure there's an aisle-runner of some sort since you don't want them running anything into their feet.

  • What does your FI want to wear? Leave it up to him as to whether he's in a black tux or a tan suit.

(Do they even make tan tuxes? Tan doesn't really equal "formal" to me, and a tux is formal. I've seen brown and white tuxes, but I've never seen a tan one. Does your tux shop have one?)

Yes, I think it'd look weird if the groom was dressed formally and if the ring bearer was dressed very informally and barefooted. I don't think you need the ring bearer in a full tux, but like PP said at least have him in loafers or maybe saddle shoes.
