Jordan Fashions BM Dresses

My bridesmaids all ordered their dresses from our local Bridal shop, and they ordered the dresses from Jordan Fashions.  I was wondering if anyone else has ever worn a Jordan Fashions dress?  My girls just got their dresses in, and every single one of them (5) fall completely off they are so large.  The bridal shop measured them and they are the ones who sent in the sizes to order the dresses.  I didn't know if it is possible that the brand of dresses are just sized big or if the bridal shop just really messed up on measurements?  The bridal shop referred them to a local alteration shop, but I don't think we should have to eat that cost when the dresses should not be this big if they measured the girls correctly or at least I wouldn't think.  I was a little upset after the girls all paid over $180 for their dresses. Any suggestions?  I could understand if they were just a bit too large, but these dresses compeltey fall off the girls.  I would just like to know if Jordans Fashions are generally sized large or if I should try to see what happened with the measurements.  I don't want to jump to the conclusiont that the bridal shop messed the measurements up, but I am confused as to why they are so large.

Thanks ladies!

Re: Jordan Fashions BM Dresses

  • Hmmm. we ordered 5 different Jordan BM dresses a year ago; none of them were swimming on the girls but I was told at several stores prior to ordering that Jordan makes some "roomier cuts."

I don't think, however, if the measurements were taken properly & followed jordan's "chart' for sizes, that you should have EXCESSIVE alterations.

My BP definitely all needed some parts of the dresses taken in but not anything too costly or dramatic.

    Sorry- I hope that helps!

  • This is totally normal, and has nothing to do with Jordan Fashions.  The bridal shops generally order the dresses too big because it's way easier to take a dress in than let a dress out.  Also, you can have three measurements that fall into different sizes...for example, my bust is a 6, my waist is an 8, and my hips fall in the 10 size category...so the shop usually orders the biggest size which can make it baggy in the smaller parts of your body.
