Dress woes!

I am having major issues! My wedding in On April 19th and my dress is fitting totally bad. It is tight in the hips which I can deal with but around the waist and the stomach it is bunching! I bought the dress from David's Bridal and had it altered somewhere else. When I called and told them they said they cannot alter someone else's alterations because it will be a liability. I really love my dress but don't know waht to do. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance ladies!

Your dress doesn't fit. Bottom line.

It doesn't fit your hips, which causes the fabric to not smooth out and bunch up instead of laying straight/flat.

Go to a seamstress ASAP and have the dress let out at the hip.

I don't think you need to lose weight in any other circumstance. But at this point (you don't have time to get another dress) it certainly wouldn't hurt to add a few extra sweat-inducing workouts to your routine and really watch your diet these next few weeks.

  • Thanks for the truth! Sweat will not get this right. And the nightmare begins!

  • I found someone to take  a look at it today to see if it is possible. If not to davids bridal for an off the rack i go. ugggghhh
  • If the seamstress you meet with doesn't work out, you might try some bike short type spanx before buying a whole new dress off the rack. Chances are an off the rack dress is not going to fit you perfectly either (I am sure that is why you had a dress altered to begin with), they are either too big up top or too tight down on the hips.

    Good luck!
