Need help dying a veil

I really want to wear my mom's veil on my wedding day, the only problem is, its white and my dress is ivory. Does anyone know of a place in the Cincinnati area that will dye it? I've heard of using tea, but I'd be afraid to try and do it myself. Any recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

  • The material has to be made to take dye, so I'm not sure this is even possible.

But that being said you need to check your local board <------------------------- drop down to the left. This is an international board.

  • When you put them together is it really a huge difference? My veil is totally a different shade of white than my dress, but because it's sheer and because it's on my hair, it doesn't really look different.

  • If it is made of Tulle, chances are it won't dye. I was going through the same problem with dyeing lace. I've learned a lot about what dyes and what doesn't.
