Orange Bridesmaid Shoes

In search of some cute, affordable orange bridesmaid shoes for my August wedding. We are doing navy bridesmaid dresses with a pop of color with the shoes and jewelery.  Any suggestions for shoes??

I don't have any recs FOR shoes. Only against orange shoes. My advice would be to have the color come from the flowers. You can get bright orange gerbers. Orange shoes are probably going to be a waste of money. They will probably never use them again. Just my opinion.

I partly agree with stina, but as long as your bridesmaids are okay with it its not a problem, just make sure to check. And what is your definition of afforable? under $150? under $100?

I picked out some shoes at David's bridal and they are being dyed orange. They are really cute but they are about 3 3/4 high.

I LOVE these shoes and I love them in orange. They're a little more casual since they are wedges, but if you are having an outdoor wedding, it might be better since your girls won't want to aerate the lawn! And they're only $40 at DSW (orig $90 at Steve Madden)

And I saw an incredible pair of orange stilettos on offbroadwayshoes.com, but I couldn't find the brand name, so you may want to check out a store near you.

I think that is a really cute idea & color scheme!

You should definitely be able to find some inexpensive (<$50) orange heels at somewhere like DSW or maybe Overstock?

Honestly, shoes and jewelry are such tiny details that the "pop" of color will be more like a blip.  Orange roses or daisies will be much more effective.

If you insist on orange shoes, I think it would be much better to just give each girl a paint chip or fabric swatch in the right color and tell her to get something that matches as close as she can manage.  That way, while they'll probably still end up with shoes they'll never wear again, at least they can find something comfortable and in their own price ranges.

But you'll have much happier bridesmaids if you let them wear a neutral shoe and their own jewelry.

I emailed my girls today to open up a convo about the shoes.  Obviously I don't want to force them into something they don't want to wear.  Now I am just hoping the girls feel comfortable enough to give me their honest opinion!

I think the color combo sounds lovely and I don't see why anyone wouldn't be able to wear orange shoes again.  I think it's a cute idea.
