My wedding is coming up in 20 days and I still can't decide on a veil. To make things worse, I'm in the military and have had to order everything online and only having the oppoutunity to actually wear it all just a few days before the wedding. I am a heavily tattooed person. I have an Army girl pin-up half sleeve on one arm, a large old-school heart with scrolls on the other, and a large half-finished black and grey back piece that features Mt. St. Helens, a bear, and flowers. I love the look of a mantilla veil, but considering it is traditionally used in Catholic weddings, is it tacky to be tatted up and wearing such an ornate, frilly kind of veil? If it helps (I don't have pictures on this computer), my dress is a flowy, column/sheath kind of dress, chapel length train, lace up back with a lot of back detail (which makes me wonder if I should have a veil at all), and light beading coming down from the low point of the sweeatheart neckline.
