Distinguishing the "Best Woman"

Hi all,

My fiance's sister will be the "best man" in our wedding.  We have decided to have her in the same dress as the bridesmaids (strapless, knee length, satin coral dresses) but are trying to figure out how to distinguish her from the other bridesmaids. We want her to feel special so were thinking of maybe adding a black sash or a rhinestone brooch? She will also have the MOH bouquet (my brothers will be the "maid of honors on my side" so don't need bouquets).  What do you all think would look good? Has anyone seen this done before?  Thanks in advance for your advice!

Re: Distinguishing the "Best Woman"

  • If she standing on your FI's side?  If so, that should distinguish her enough.  Or what is she ordered the same dress as the BM, but in the same color as the tuxes the GM are wearing?

  • When I was the best woman, I wore a tux, cumberbund, bowtie bouineer.  and rocked black rhinestone high heels. It was the easiest wedding dressing ever.
  • We chose to have our "Best Person" in a black gown to match the tuxes.

I agree that standing on the groom's side is enough to distinguish her. Especially with the counter balance of your brothers on your side.
