Anyone heard of Amica Bride?

Hi ladies,

I am considering ordering my bridesmaids dresses through Amica Bride. I received a bouceback email after attempting to contact some Dessy vendors. I have spoken to one of the reps a little, but would feel more comfortable speaking with someone who has actually ordered with them?

Thank you!

Re: Anyone heard of Amica Bride?

  • I have never heard of them.
  • Thanks everyone! Can you provide the websites for RK and Jays? Several different things came up when I googled both of those. Also, have you ordered from any of these?
  • LOVE Amica Bridemaids.  I recieved the same bouceback email from the Dessy website and looked into ordering from Amica since they had my bridemaid dress $60 less than the dress shop that I went to. I was a bit apprehensive at first since its a online company but I took my chances after readding their great reviews and looking them up on BBB website. Kathy was AWESOME and very responsive to all my email questions regarding price, sizing, and ordering. My gals went and got measured by a tailor and just looked up their sizes on the charts provided by Amica (which are Dessy size charts). I placed my order via fax  in January and recieved my BM and Flower Girl dresses this week (abt 3 weeks ahead of the time they estimated). The dresses were packaged very well each in their own individual bag and they were leigitimate DESSY dresses. I would recommend ordering from them. Definitely a legit company.
  • Do not use Amica Bride for your bridesmaid dresses. I ordered Lela Rose 132 dress for 6 of my bridesmaids in November for my June wedding. These dresses came to us lopsided. Even though Amica does not typically accept returns, Kathy made an exception for us since the dresses were sewn lopsided. We received the replacement dresses two weeks ago and they have similar problems. Some have a completely lopsided "bib" around the neckline, some shoulders are .5" different, some are not. It looks like a knock off dress! I have already submitted a claim to the Better Business Bureau. Kathy is not responding to emails or telephone calls. We shipped the dresses back to her and she denied the package, so the dresses are sitting in limbo at FedEx! Save yourself the grief, and pay the extra 20% for your dresses! It's worth the piece of mind!
