Tight rings

My e-ring has always fit just perfectly.  We picked up the band this weekend (same size) and since it pushes my e-ring up further on my finger it feels like a tighter fit.   On the advice of the jewler, I wore them around the house for a few hours last night to see how they felt together and it was OK.   It could potentially get ugly if there were any swelling.  Maybe I should take advantage of the summer heat and go for a walk with the rings on as well.

Anyone else experience issues with their e-ring size after getting the band?  I'm not sure if I need to get it sized up just a little bit.

I had to have mine sized up a little bit. My hands swell really bad and the thought of having them cut off was most unappealing! I think my wedding band is half a size bigger than my engagement ring because it is so wide.

  • I had my e-ring sized in the winter originally, and when summer hit I had to go up a half size.  (It was also snug any time I was slightly warm, even in winter, so I should have been half a size larger from the start.)  When I tried my band on with the pre-resized ering, it was even tighter and made my finger turn purple.  The combined width of the e-ring and band can make you need a larger size, so if you are even slightly tight without any swelling, I'd consider going up, even a partial size.
