Good dress for a winter wedding?

I've chosen a Val stefani dress as my wedding dress but I am curious as to if it is appropriate for a winter wedding. I absolutely adore it but i'm not too sure if it would work well for the season. If not, what would be a proper dress? Help???

Here is a link to the dress:

Re: Good dress for a winter wedding?

  • While it seems more of a summer dress to me I honestly don't think it matters. If you love it then you should wear it no matter what season it is.

  • I thought it looked more summery aswell!!
  • I see how it could look like a summer dress, but I think it's also kind of ethereal and floaty, like snow. I don't think it would be inappropriate for a winter wedding.
  • Well i'm looking for that snowy effect.

  • I think that dress would be beautiful for a winter wedding.  You may want a wrap or bolero for when you have to go outside... I would recommend fur or faux fur if you are interested... or a white wool coat, if you're in a really cold area.  The strapless style is so universal with the designers now that it can cross all seasons, IMO.

  • I can see it both ways!  I can definitely see it as a snow princess dress!  Its beautiful!

  • That kind of fabric is lightweight, which make it ideal for a summer wedding.  But when it comes to wedding fashion you're free to choose whatever you'd like!

  • Thanks so much guys! I'm gonna get it! :)
  • I think it's a great winter wedding dress. It really reminds me of an ethereal winter princess!
  • My boss got married a few years ago in a similar dress in the middle of the winter. she didn't look out of place or anything. but I agree that you should get a faux fur coat or wrap. that would be great, that is one of the coolest things about a winter wedding, the "snow princess" look!!
