Hi everyone! This is my first time posting on here, so be gentle if I put this in the wrong area!
I am recently engaged (to the man of my dreams, of course! lol). However, I was engaged back in 2002 with my daughter's dad. We got about 5 months before the wedding, and I knew I couldn't go through with it, so I called it off.
I already had a dress (I worked at a bridal salon at the time), and I absolutely LOVED LOVED it! Working with so many bridal gowns and body shapes, I knew this was the perfect dress for me. So when I called off the wedding, I was disappointed that I wouldn't ever wear my perfect dress. I planned to sell it on ebay or classifieds....but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I've moved countless times since then, and it has traveled with me everywhere.
Luckily, the man I am marrying now understands how much I love the dress and that I bought it because it was perfect for ME. SO, I get to wear it now! I tried on the dress a couple weeks ago, and still got that giddy feeling, which means it definitley is the dress!!
My problem? Well, the dress was bought in 2002. I cannot find the dress ANYWHERE! My mom called where we bought it, and their records don't go back that far. She even emailed the COMPANY, but they don't have a record of ever having that dress style #.
We really want to find the NAME of the color of some of the materials. But I cannot even find THAT online. They do list some colors on their website, but none of them are correct.
The dress is a sweetheart neckline, with a corset style bodice, an a line skirt with side box pleats. The bodice is gold, with silver embellishments and the skirt is a satin gold with an ivory organza overlay.
Ok, tmi! But would anyone know anything about where I can find names of the colors of the dresses that might be outdated? I know it's a weird request, but since the color is so unique, it would be SO helpful.
