Hey gals, My husband and I are going to be renewing our vows when we go to Puerto Vallarta this fall. I went to Macy's today and picked up two dresses that were on clearance, and paid all of $45 for 2 new dresses.
Vow renewal will be at 7pm (sunset) followed by a romantic beachfront dinner (just the 2 of us) at 8pm.
What I would like to know is if there are any "rules" perse about vow renewal attire.
Specifically I want to know if it's okay to wear ivory. I got two dresses today at Macy's for $45 (YAY CLEARANCE).
Dress #1 is almost identical to this one, but it ties in the back with the black sash and the top is not so asymetrical looking, but sweetheart with spaghetti straps.I got this for $33
Dress #2 is dark periwinkle, same length & neckline with jewels under the bust. kiiiiiiiiind of like this one. However I cant find anything like it online and this is the closest that I can find. I got this one for $12.
I like either dress, and either dress would be comfy in the weather. I just want to know what the thoughts are behind wearing white/offwhite/ivory, etc. for vow renewal versus colored...
