  • How casual is your gown?   I'm thinking since its ivory lace, its probably rather formal so in that case I really don't think the shoes go, and they are mostly black - black and ivory are a pretty deep contrast.  They are cute but seem very casual.
  • I would say no. I also have an ivory lace gown. Trying to find shoes is hard, but those are way too casual. I'm trying to find something softer. kind of like this:

  • will anyone see your shoes?  If your dress is long enough that your shoes wouldn't be visable, I'd go for it personally.  Mine are some casual white sketcher mary janes because they're the closest to what i wanted and they're comfortable enough to wear all day.

  • My gown is also ivory lace and I would go with a no on these shoes. But honestly, no one is going to see your shoes so you could get away with wearing thigh high vinyl boots if you really wanted to.

Wedges are more casual than heels, and lace isn't casual.  I also think that the bold print would fight with the lace.
  • I personally don't think they would go good with an ivory lace dress.  I would go with a heel.  But, that doesn't mean you shouldn't get them!  I'd say get them and wear them to your rehearsal dinner then bring them on your honeymoon!  They are cute!

I think that's way too bold a color and pattern for an ivory lace dress.  I'd go with Michellea86's idea and go for something softer-looking.  But I also agree that if you love them, get them and take them on your honeymoon or use for your rehearsal dinner.
  • They look so uncomfortable!!!!

  • I have an ivory lace dress and got the pink shoes: http://www.sears.ca/product/nygard-amalie-sling-back-with-flower-detail/654-000447110-AMALIE_4__7_OPAL_8_

They're more "hot pink" in real life than the computer screen (its showing kind of a bubblegum pink on my screen). They look AWESOME with my dress (though my dress isn't really fancy other than the lace part, the cut is very simple and nice, but not evening gown-ish). I'm also having a morning wedding, not sure if that makes a difference with shoe colour, but I saw a pair of black shoes with floral print and I left them since I thought the black wouldn't go the best. It's totally up to you, but don't be afraid of print or colour for your shoes even if your dress is ivory and lace. It depends on the cut of the dress, the feel of the day, and your personality and preference :)

  • I got the shoes! Just for fun though lol, and I got some satin ivory heels from Antionio Melanies line? From Dillards.  They look classy and definately go.  Than you ladies :)
