My bridemaids and I went out on Saturday and picked out their dress (yay!) One of my bridesmaids could not make itat the last minute, and is a plus size. It turns out that in this designer, she is actually larger then their largest size (normally she i a 22/24, but this dress comes up to a size 28 and that is too small).
Do you think it would be possiblel/plauable to have the dress made for her? The other girls have already paid their deposits, so changing the dress is not really an option. To have it altered is an additional $150, just for fabric. Do you think it would be offensive to offer to pay for the extra fabric and alterations? I really want her in the wedding party, as it is my fh sister. Do you have any other suggestions as to how I can navigate this situtation successfully?
Just so you know, the dress we picked is Bill Lekoff style #620, and is tissue taffiata material.
