I'm hoping I can take advantage of your experience and expertise. I'd like to purchase this dress used, Anastasia by Maggie Sottero:
Unfortunately, I'll be 5'4" (with shoes) and most sellers describe themselves as ~5'8" (with shoes). I'm worried hemming would be difficult if not impossible with the lace and beading detail of this dress. You'll notice that there is a bare margin between the detailing and the hem of the dress. How would that look with 4" removed? Is that even possible?
I know this is a popular dress... anyone out there have experience with this? Or perhaps wore a dress with a similar design?
