Waterproof Make-up, help please!

Looking for product recommendations to combat my tears, esp since groom will see me on the aisle and photos are after. I will be crying my little eyes out! I have oily and acne-prone skin and live in SW FL. Any tips are appreciated! Thank you!

Re: Waterproof Make-up, help please!

  • Maybeline I think has it! :o) congrats to you!!!
  • I used facial primer first to help the make-up stay put. I believe it was about $12 and from L'Oreal. I also used Maybelline Stiletto mascara and their waterproof eyeliner.
  • I did my own makeup for the wedding....
I got a bare minerals matt primer to make the powder stay put, waterproof mascara, and I also bought an eye shadow primer from clinique which held all my eye makeup in place

Prior to the wedding I made sure w/ the foundation and primer that it worked and didn't come off via tears of any sweat since we had an ourdoor wedding.  It stayed on 100% through everything during all my trials and most importantly the day off.  Looking at pictures family and friends have sent us you cannot tell I was crying at all, which is the point right!

im crying here but i kept a smile the whole time, you cant tell im crying

i was still crying right before this shot too

no tears here, this was after the ceremony was over!

  • If you have time go to dinair.com and purchase one of their small foundation kits in their paramedical line (it's waterproof) in your shade range. You don't need the airbrush machine-you're using this just as your base. Apply with fingers quickly-it sets fast. Add waterproof concealer where needed, I prefer Lancome Effacernes. Sephora Le Waterproof Mascara gives the exact look as Lancome Hypnose, but less expensive. Apply powder where needed (t-zone, etc). And try to remember to roll your tissue and not swipe it when your waterworks do start. Best wishes!
