Knee or Tea Length Wedding Dress?

Hello,

I am having a small, informal, inexpensive wedding.  I would like to wear a short wedding dress.  Anyone have any suggestions where I should look?  Ideally, I would purchase a regular dress in off-white or cream.  I have looked at the Nordstrom's website and seen a handful of good options, like this:

If anyone else had any suggestions, please let me know.  I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Re: Knee or Tea Length Wedding Dress?

  • OMG!  I LOVE that dress!  That would be fabulous!  I have a tea-length dress but it was very hard to find at bridal stores.  I think that looking at mass retailers is your best option.
  • I think davids bridal has a few too.
  • I tried on an Alfred Angelo one, but it made me look like a flower girl! Avoid anything "little girl." The one you linked was great.

I would go to Nordstrom in person. When I was shopping with my BM for her dress at Nordstrom, I fell in love with a lot of dresses there and regretted buying an actual wedding dress.
  • I have been looking at knee and tea length dresses for my informal wedding in Key West.  Most mainstream wedding dress designers like Alfred Angelo, Impression, Dessy etc. have white or ivory as a color choice for all of their bridesmaid dresses.  You can switch the color of the dresses on some of their websites to get an idea of what they would look like.  This is great b/c bridesmaid dresses are much less expensive than wedding dresses.  However, David's Bridal has a nice selection of inexpensive short wedding dresses for great prices too.

    Good luck!

I think a tea length would be best.
