Grooms/men's attire - HELP!!!!

Help!  I'm really freaking about what to have the guys (incl groom) wear in my wedding.  I'd say our style is a classy casual.  It will (hopefully) be outdoor ceremony on an estate, with the reception in the stone carriage house (about 90 guests).  My dress is A-line all lace; champagne/pink underlayer with ivory lace over it.  MOH in navy; and jr BMs in catcus green and butter yellow.  We're going w/suits for guys, but I'm freaking on colors!  Groom hates navy (my fav w/my dress) and I think gray wont look so good w/my dress??  I have the groom, my 2 brothers walking me down the aisle, and groom's dad is BM - all who need to be coordinated/dressed.  Groom thinking black suit; but is that too funeral?  I dont want the guys to have to buy suits, and I'm not sure my brothers have black; his dad does I know.  Is it weird to have groom in black & others in charcoal gray?  Or maybe rent suits for brothers  in black and have all in black?  My nephew is escorting most jr. BM (sister) and he has black pants so thinking cactus, yellow or navy vest.  Sorry for the long note, but HELP!!!!!

I don't see any reason why you can't have the groom in black & others in charcoal gray. I think that would look really nice. The groom usually want to stand out anyway.

So, why won't you let your FI have a say in what him and his GM wear?  It is his wedding too.  And black matches everything. I would put them all in black, but that's just me. I don't think it's too funeral at all.
What about renting suits, or renting tuxes?  Tux rentals are pretty affordable and there are plenty of style options that dont' look to "tux" ish (pair with a euro-tie or vest or both).

I think this should be your grooms decison. If he wants a classic black suit, I think it's great, and the other guys can either rent or use what already may be in their closet.

Black is classic it goes with everything, as well as an ivory dress. Everything goes with ivory.

Whoops, I didn't mean to imply that Groom didn't have a say...he completely does, its just that he's SOOO indifferent (except rather not navy) and indesisive!  He keeps changing mind then saying whatever I want...yes, makes for tough wedding planning!

Than I would just keep it a simple black. And keep in mind the person walking you and the ushers dont need to match, so that may take a weight off.

Your plan is perfectly acceptable. In fact, I think it looks great when the gents don't match. Everyone has their own style. As long as they're dressed at the same level of formality, that's great.

If you want to unify them more, then give them matching/coordinating pocket squares, lapel flowers, and ties to wear.
