Do I NEED a purse?

Do I need or should I have a special sort of bridal purse? I know I am going to need to carry things like lip gloss, gum, etc. I mean, isn't it just going to stay in the limo the whole time? Or should I get a small little one?

Good point. I didn't know if it was standard bridal wear or not. Like shoes; you need shoes....

I'm not buying a purse that I will never use again just for my wedding.  If I happen to stumble upon something awesome, I'll get it.  If not, then the few things I might need will go in my mom's purse.

I will be needing a clutch, if I'm not happy with how the one I have coordinates with the dress then I'll buy a new one. Although, I should say that FI and I have an intimate dinner planned on our wedding night so that's what I need it for. 

If you do decide to have one, I don't think it should be strictly "bridal", you can go bold and colourful or play with patters or coordinate it with your shoes etc ... hth

If you WANT one, find one that you can use again. I hadn't really thought about it, but I am the kind of person who feels naked without my purse. I'll either find something that I can use again or use something I already own.

I don't want one, and I could see myself just sitting it down on the table all night.  No need.  We'll be going from the church to the reception place, and I don't need anything make-up wise once I get to the reception, so I'm not worried about it.  However, if you find a purse / clutch that you just love, and have the budget for, by all means, feel free to have what you want!!

im actually borrowing one as my "something borrowed" im the same as PP, i feel naked w/o a purse!

I got an ivory clutch at Dillards on a steal of a deal because a couple of the tiny rhinestones on the trim had fallen out.  I wanted one because I was wearing my contacts that I got just for the wedding and if I had a problem, I wanted to be able to switch to my glasses or get some drops.  I wouldn't spend a lot though.

I'm pretty sure I'm doing a bright clutch purse, perhaps instead of a bouquet. I need something to hold my stateroom key, compact, lipstick & whatever. It'll be an informal ceremony.

I bought one because I fell in love with a red clutch that will match my red shoes. I got it cheap (30 bucks on ebay)... I'm actually looking forward to looking at it as it sits on the table. I think it's a personal preference. I can see myself using it in the future for cruises or something.

You don't really need anything, per-say.  If you want it, however, and you can afford it, I've seen some super cute ones on etsy (Click).  Clutches are so fun.

I'm not buying a purse for the day. I have a satin black clutch somewhere in my closet. I'll just use that.

I didn't use one.  In fact, I'm fairly certain I didn't even have my purse with me at the wedding.
