Need help with bm dress colors!

We're getting married September 15th of this year. My fiance is wearing a light gray suit that I got him as an engagement gift, and the groomsmen will get suits in a different gray, not sure if it will be lighter or darker yet. Our ballroom has dark wood paneling, and the grounds have alot f greenery. The wedding will be somewhat rustic, with a firepit for smores.
What would be a good idea for bridesmaid dresses? I want cocktail length, and have thought of doing different shades of the same color. Alot of my friends have had their girls in different dresses in the same designer and fabric. I don't want it to be too matchy. I like coral but think it may be too summery. I also liked a periwinkle blue, but think it may be too blah with the gray suits and dark ballroom. I would also like my MOH in a print, or something standout.

  • Grey is a neutral that blends with most colors.  Coral and periwinkle would be pretty together.  The challenge will be to find a great print for your MOH.  I'd recommend finding the print first and then pull colors from that print.
  • I think periwinkle blue would look great with the gray.  Any shade of blue would work, actually.  How about navy?  This is one of my favorite color palettes I've seen:

Whatever you decide, I'd stick will cooler colors (blue, green, some shades of purple) rather than warmer colors.  I've just never liked pinks and reds with gray.

What about a salmon hue like this? I love having the same dress in completely different styles. (Sorry if you were trying to say that you didn't like this. I know you mentioned that your friends did this.) I think that keeps it from being too matchy.
