Dress Help Needed!!!

Hello ladies!

So here's my latest dihlemma... Originally, I had been shopping for a ball gown. I have a big personality and love dramatic flare (with class). I had found a gorgeous ballgown here in NYC - lace with sparkle (i'm all about the sparkle!) and really fell in love with it.

 Until...

I recently lost 25 lbs - 10 alone since I first found the ballgown, and now I'm starting to think that maybe I want a dress that does more to show off my curves, and new body. So, I dragged myself back to Kleinfelds yesterday, and found a beautiful, exquisite A-line/fit-n-flare lace tiered dress that shows off my curves a bit more.

Now I'm conflicted! I've always dreamed of the ballgown look, but now I'm finding myself loving seeing my new form (that i worked so hard to acheive) - what's a bride-to-be to do???

I believe you posted in the wrong board. This is the South Florida board.

I say go for the dress that makes you feel beautiful and like a bride of course. I remember trying on mermaids and fit-n-flares and not feeling like a bride. Remember this is YOUR day and you have to feel beautiful in your dress. Good Luck!!!

  • I found one that has both. It fits tight to just below my hips and has a big skirt with all the ball gown look....but my boobs and butt look great!!!

  • Like PP said, you could have a nice combination of both styles.  Have something that is snug on top and has a dropped waist to show off your curves but still has a full skirt so you get that ball gown type feel.

IMO, I kind of hate huge ballgowns.  I just think that they look ridiculous on grown women...but that is just me.

  • I can't vote without pictures.  I say go with what makes you feel the most beautiful and bridelike.
