bridesmaid dropped ball on ordering shoes

my bridesmaid was suppose to orer her shoes last friday and didnt and wont give a clear answer. she tried to order on saturday and they no longer carry them in her size. we ere told if she sent a email asap to the main wearhouse she might be able to get them to before they were to be sent to their supplier. she didnt even send a email till late sunday night. can not find the same shoes any where but did find something clothes. however these are much nicer shoes and since my moh and bridesmaid are to wear the same shoes the moh doesnt want to buy new shoes so they can match. the moh did not pay for her first pair of shoes to start with. i really want the 2 girls to have matching shoes and i know its not really fair for the moh to replace her shoes due to it was the bridesmaid who dropped the ball. any suggestions?

    This.

If you can't let it go, then you foot the bill.

  • Then buy both pairs of shoes. If I were your MOH I wouldn't buy new shoes either, especially since I already have a pair, paid for by me or not.

  • Honestly you're in the wrong.  If we were requiring specific shoes for your BMs you needed to pay for them.  Let them wear whatever shoes they want.

  • I agree with pp.  No one will notice your BM shoes.  All attention will be on you and your FI.

  • If you are requiring a certain shoe, you should be paying for them.  And if you're paying, you should have been the one ordering them.

Nobody will be looking at your bridesmaid's feet. As long as the shoes are of a somewhat normal style/color (either neutral or the same-ish color as the dress), then nobody will notice or care.

My BMs wore black dresses of their choice.  My sister (MOH) wanted to wear purple suede pumps.  No big deal.  She looked awesome, and I bet you could ask every single person who attended the wedding what color shoes she was wearing, and nobody would say purple.  All eyes will be on YOU.  Not the bridesmaid's feet.

This, so in reality, it wasn't your BM that dropped the ball, it was you.  At this point, let it go.  No one will notice their shoes anyways.
