I really love a Vera Wang dress but can't afford it. Does anyone know any others options, is there a place in NYC that does high quality knock offs. I'm not interested in ordering a dress from a sweatshop in china.

I would try posting this on your local board as this is an international board.

I do know David's Bridal was supossed to be coming out with a line from Vera Wang. But I am not sure when it was going to hit the stores. You might check their website.

I think you should consider looking for a used/second hand/sample dress. You an save about 50% that way, and you don't have to take a chance on getting a crummy knock-off.

I found a lot of Vera Wangs on www.preownedweddingdresses.com.

You can either look for a pre-owned gown, or look for a seamstress who could recreate something similar to the gown you love. Etsy has many seamstresses who sepcialize in dress reproductions, or you could post on your local board to find someone in your area.
