Ivory gown... What does my groom wear??

My wedding is in 69 days. I purchased a beautiful dress today in an ivory color. I am now second guessing my decision because I'm concerned what the groom and best man (we're only having one attendant each) will wear. Ivory or white?? Help!

Yes ma'am! Black tuxedos. I have been fretting this all day! I am on a limited time frame, though... I have to make decisions and stick with it! Thanks!

White. Always white. An ivory shirt will look dingy, unless it's a more golden tan ivory. The lighter ivories are available but they aren't common enough and the average guest will most likely not have seen it before. Plus, his white shirt will make your ivory all the more obvious and beautiful. And don't panic too much, the shirt won't matter a week after the wedding. If you ask any guests after the reception what color shirt he wore they wouldn't remember.

White.  My dress was ivory and champagne and DH wore a black suit and white shirt.  You couldn't tell the difference.  Here's a photo to set your mind at ease.

White. My gown and veil were ivory. PPs are right, ivory can look dingy and yellow if it's not perfect. Good luck and congrats on buying your dress!

To clarify, ivory shirts look dingy, not ivory dresses.  Ivory dresses look warm and beautiful!

Oh thank the lord the tides have turned on this topic on this board since my wedding. I agree with everyone - 100% white shirts. My dress was ivory and the guy's shirts were white.

hahaha.  I just saw a post within the past few days on this topic though and there were a few diehard ivory shirters.  I agree though, WHITE!  I'm wearing an ivory dress, and the guys will wear white shirts.  :)
